It’s about that pirate flag. After we got home, I received several e-mails from the handsome Vik Banerjee below—purportedly to inquire about the coast route because he had seen our Pacific coast website and was planning a tour, but also to ask where he could get a pirate flag like Jessica’s—who, he added was the “prettiest girl pulling a BOB trailer” that he had encountered in his web search.
Well, I’m no dummy. He was talking to the mutha and really wanted to connect with the dauta. I put him in touch with Jess. Vik, of Swiss-West Indian background, lives in Calgary, Canada and it just so happened that Jess was going to Calgary the next month to a wedding. She promised Vik that she would present him with the pirate flag when she got up there if he would recommend a good place to eat nearby. The two met and the flag was passed on. Now what’ll I chase on our next tour?
